VET TEC (Veterans Employment Through Technology Education Courses), is a program offered by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

It provides eligible veterans with the opportunity to receive technology-focused training and education to enhance their skills and improve their employability in high-demand fields.

The goal of the VET TEC program is to help Veterans secure meaningful employment.

 

Employment must align with the completed training program and be secured within 180 days of the training program completion.

Employment must be:

• A full-time, paid position with a minimum of 30 hours/week

• A contract position at least six months long

• Self-employment

To preserve the integrity and success of this program, this benefit requires you to provide specific employment documents to our Career Services team so they can be submitted to the VA.

​You may be eligible for VET TEC if you meet all of the requirements listed below.

All of these must be true.
You:

• Aren’t on active duty or are within 180 days of separating from active duty, and

• Qualify for VA education assistance under the GI Bill®, and

• Have at least one day of unexpired GI Bill® entitlement

​

Note: Your VET TEC training won’t count against your GI Bill® entitlement, and you only need one day of unexpired GI Bill® benefits to participate.
